Left or right?Do you mean below and to the right of the snow? I do not see a shaded retaining wall to the left of the snowbank nor do I see a scree slope. It the location between the shaded retaining wall and the snow field?

If you enlarge the photo, you can make out the retaining wall below and to the left of the snowbank. There's some scree just above and to the right of that stretch of wall (not very prominent) that I've twice used to access this route. The much more prominent scree field you are referring to (between the shaded retaining wall and the snowfield) leads to impassable cliffs.
It really is challenging to tell what I'm talking about by looking at this photo. Like many routes in GNP, it becomes much more obvious when you are actually on the trail.

Re: Left or right?Thanks. Now I see it thanks. I was looking at the first shadowed wall and did not see the second. I am doing this route this summer. I appreciate the help.
