Rattlesnake
As bigwilly mentioned on the main page, rattlesnakes are a present danger on Green Mountain. I photographed this large one on the lower slopes of Green Mountain five days after the August 2008 fire that decimated the wildlife habitat on our side of the mountain. It was the first rattlesnake I have seen in the wild.
