Red Butte (UT)

Tucked away in the northwest corner of Utah are a couple more ranges that rarely get visited. The Goose Creek and the Grouse Creek ranges. This pic shows the highest mountain in the Grouse Creek range, Red Butte. At 9000 feet it is the isolation that makes this one tough to get. A long way from Snowville or Wendover, it is quite a drive. A simple hike up once you get there but the register showed we were only the second party to sign the register in almost ten years. 10-9-10
