Red cliff on Grinnell Point

Taken on the descent down the South Ramp Route of Grinnell Point. Lake Josephine sits over 1,000 feet below. The flanks of Allen Mountain are visible on the left hand side of the photo. In the distance Piegan Mountain (left) and Pollock Mountain (right) sit on either side of a snowy saddle. The Garden Wall continues to the right from Pollock Mountain, with the first (and highest) of three prominent spires being Bishops Cap. June 27, 2013
