Getting There
Riverside CA-Blaine st/3rd st is accessible from the 91 or 60/215. Take Blaine North up to the near end, pass a dip in the road and make a Left on Belvedere. Continue up to Two Trees drive and go Right. Park in designated area, see the main page for the Box Springs Mountain Park.
Riddler's Revenge is on the Knob Wall. From the parking lot, follow the trail up to the obvious rock outcropping. Continue past and to the left of the Main Area along many trace trails back to the Knob Wall.
A crude topo approach map as well as the link to a mini guide to the area are at the bottom in External Links.
The Knob Wall
From the base of the rock, looking from right to left, the routes go as followed-
Knobulator 5.3
Pimple Patrol 5.5
Blue Collar 5.10c
Bermuda Triangle 5.11a
Drunken Indian 5.10c
Riddler's Revenge is a aid variation using the bolts on Blue Collar, Bermuda Triangle and finishing into Drunken Indian.
Route Description
Just left of
Pimple Patrol, a long reach clips the first bolt of Blue collar. Step up and make a very awkward clip into the bolt up and to the left, on Bermuda Triangle. Even though this is as easy as aid gets clipping into a bolt, but the reach and transition to this bolt is strenuous.
From here you now have access to this semi-flaring crack that goes up and to the left, then meeting a thin crack that Drunken Indian finishes on.
3-5 moves up the crack brings you to the final thin crack on Drunken Indian. Small to medium stoppers up to a ramp where you can make a easy transition to free climbing up a easy ramp to a anchor or easy walk off.
Route length-Less than 30 feet.
