Rio Grande meets the Sierra del Carmen

The Rio Grande (Rio Bravo del Norte) meets the Sierra del Carmen at Boquillas Canyon. This is a view from a bluff above the river on the Boquillas Canyon trail. The United States is on the left, Mexico on the right. There's quite a bit of illegal river crossing here and I wouldn't leave valuables unattended in your car. Most of the crossers are just selling handicrafts, though. January 2010.
