Is it really Mt. Lyell?

That's really awesome. I always thought
it was part of Banner Peak. There are
some folks in CA who can name all the
peaks on the entire east side of the Sierra.

Well, I am certainly not one of them. But I try...In fact on top of Mammoth Mountain there is now a very nice informational viewing area with description of many peaks that are visible from there. According to that description that peak in the photo (which is easier to see when you open the image) is in fact Mt. Lyell. Cheers and thanks. Guido
