Long Drive on very bad rad roads
I had never heard of this peak until it showed up on the driving directions to Thomas Mountain on the HPS website. Since it was "only" another 5 miles of driving, I decided, why not tag this one too? The roads were in extremely poor shape, particularly near the non-descript and uninteresting summit, and I don't think anything other than a pickup truck could handle them. This one took long enough that I had to cancel my plans to drive to Santa Rosa and to see if Toro Peak is truly more accessible now than in the past.
The scenery was also quite bland. Yes, the views of San Jacinto were nice, but there are plenty of other areas that are much more scenic that have equally good views. I don't recommend this one.

Road
Not very exciting, but had to tag it since it's on the HPS List. Also knocked off Cahuilla Mtn, Little Cahuilla, Thomas Mtn., Lookout Mtn., and Indian Mtn. for a day with lots of driving.

Via the South Fork Trail from Highway 74. Area around the South Fork San Jacinto River is beautiful. Very nice views from Rouse Hill.
