Route signs at the Rotkogeljochhütte, with generous estimates

The Rotkogelhütte can easily be reached, and so I suppose these times are aimed at inexperienced hikers. If you look real good, you can just see the Schwarzkogel (3016m) summit cross. The hike up there takes about an hour from this point. It passes the nice Schwarzsee in 20 minutes or so. Rotkogel (2947m) is not in the photo, but it is closer by. Even though the hiking trail up there is a bit more strenuous, it takes about 45 minutes. 1 July 2012.
