| Been in J-Tree countless times, but never bothered to hike anything because I was always climbing. The closest I ever got was climbing Walk on the Wild Side on Saddle Rocks which juts out from the Ryan Mountain 'massif'. Finally was with some friends, or we didn't feel like climbing or something, and away we went.
My main objective was to peer into the Wonderland of Rocks in which I had been semi-lost while looking for popular and obscure climbs. Alas, the ravine blocks the view, but the views down upon the clusters of granite all over the flat desert floor is what makes this otherwise bland desert hill a great little venture. |
