Salse di Nirano - a small natural parc in Appennines of Modena, which is worth visiting because of interesting natural phaenomena: A few meters high volcanoes, spitting mud, offer nice scenery. It is said that to see something similar, you'd need to go as far as to Siberia. In a shallow valley, underground water is melting clay layers and at the same time pressure is pushing the mud upwards, forming those small volcanoes.The area is hosting also specific fauna and flora.
The small parc can be seen in less than one hour. Paths through the parc are arranged and you can freely walk by some of those "creatures".
