Sengio Alto: Sentiero d'Arroccamento
This extraordinary war path, that allows to cross the whole Sengio Alto chain ( Carega - Piccole Dolomiti group ) along its ridges, is one of the most daunting logistic tracks made by Italian army.The starting point of the "sentiero di arroccamento" (transversal route) is the Campo Grosso refuge (1456m) - Some stretches of the path and of the final part toward Monte Cornetto summit are secured by an iron cable.
The way down is along the N side of Monte Cornetto down to NO notch (1611m), then along the path to the W and, crossing the Malga Boffetà l (1465m) pastures, back to Campogrosso Pass.
