Seven Gables Summit Block

[ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Seven Gables Summit Block
Seven Gables features a spectacular summit block, slightly overhanging and very exposed on three sides. Climbing up, however, only requires an easy class 3 move from the summit area... no gear is necessary. The photo here is taken from the beginning of the knife edged ridge at the top of the south slope route.

What striking perspective of the Seven Gables summit block. I remember standing up there and praying to the 'Mountain Gods' for no sudden gusts of wind or earthquakes. I was/am glad they listened :-) .

Thanks boyblue. Yeah it was quite intimidating given where I topped out on the ridge and took the photo, especially since I wasn't even aware it might be noteworthy prior to the trip. Something for me to think about the rest of the climb up.
