Taken from the great notch en route from Ptarmigan Tunnel to Redgap Pass, the red slopes of Seward Mountain are visible. Redgap Pass lies directly below Seward at the base of its southwest ridge. Several of massive Yellow Mountain's prominent summits are visible in the distance; the actual summit block is just barely visible behind and to the left of the prominent spire at center. The tree-covered slopes to the right lead down to the Kennedy Creek drainage.
