Smotrych

Overview

Thim mountain is located on Chornohirsky "spine" near Pip Ivan (which is also called by tourists White Elephant or Black Mountain)
In winter this summit is most beautiful with its strange stone sculptures made by nature. Also near Smotrych located the mountain with interesting name "Vyhatuy Cumin (Вухатий камінь)" in translation it means "stone with ears" through their sculptures from stones on top of the mountain.

Getting There

You can get there by many paths, but most easy is from Dzembronya village (to Dzembronya you can getting by this way: on bus to Verhovyna from Ivano-Frankivsk or Lviv and than to Dzembronya on hires transport, or hire bus in start point to village).

Red Tape

Is not any important red tepes near Smotrych (The border is far from the summit), most problem is just how to get there :-)

Camping

Most of tourists live on tents near summit, but also you can hire room in any master in Dzembronya, in Marсh 2011 it costs 40-50 grn/day (~5$)

Weather

The weather is very changeable on Smotrych like in all Chornohirsky "spine" and not only in winter, but over the year!!!
