South Face

Looking up at the South Face from near the parking lot. There is an opening in the fence at the parking lot. On the other side the brush has been cleared away as if a road or bigger parking lot were going to be put there. On the right down the slope from the lot a trail goes off to the right toward the gap between Pu'u Koa'e and Pu'u Kahulianapa. A narrow climbers path then heads up toward the former in the shorter grass right of center in the photo. The route more or less goes straight up the slope just right of center. Near the top of the face the path (or braids of the path) head around the corner on the less-steep upper East Face.
