With all the moisture, the SCREE field above Cave Spring is relatively firm. The snow has receded on the upper ridge approach but there are patches remaining. The chute off the top is icy. Water ice and you have to down climb. Don't plan on this route for another couple of weeks if you are uncomfortable with free climbing, both up and down.
