South Willow Lake lies in a glacial cirque
due north of Deseret Peak's summit, beneath the east-facing walls of South Willow Peak. In our younger days, we hiked up Mining Fork of the South Willow Canyon, and ejoyed the awesome views that only Nature could provide. A snow field above the lake doesn't melt until late summer. This one stayed well into August.
