Re: Fantastic!!We had a 2 day window to climb Rainier and by the time we got near the top the storm was upon us. It was kind of scary to think that we would get trapped on the summit or not be able to find our way down. Thankfully everything worked out okay.
Love all your incredible photos.
Happy climbing,
Marc

Tremendous PowerI've seen many skies and many times been above the clouds, and only once before did I ever see such power in the clouds (it came and chased me, then blew horizontal hail at 100mph).
I really like how the mountainside itself swirls up on the right, complementing the storm.
And in such a setting, the scale of the climbers is just great.
Nice, Vote 11, Ray

Re: Tremendous PowerWe really lucked out here. This photo is very close to the summit of Mount Rainier. We actually summited just before midnight, and were forced to bivy about a few hundred feet below Liberty Cap. But, the storm completely engulfed us on our return down the east side of the mountain. I feel the it was pure luck we didn't become statistic.
I did produce a TR named "Late Season Fools on Liberty Ridge."
Thank you for checking out the photo and your vote, Ray.
