Thankyou very much Mountainmark for that.
They are worthy summits to visit and offer a wide range of activities for people with all interests concerning the countryside.
Cheers.
David.
I joined this group just to read your article. I’ve just bought a caravan in the area and wish to explore it on foot. I’m close to Llangynog and hope to begin many of my walks from there.
I’ve already been up to the Pistyll Rhaeadr but I drove up to the car park and was a bit disappointed. I hope to go again but hopefully will hike from Llangynog and maybe appreciate it better.
I drove from Llangynog to Bala earlier today over that fantastic Berwyn Pass. I was keeping a lookout for places to walk. I saw a few bridleways but very few places to park up to make use of them.
I had a short walk out of Llangynog today but as yet I don’t have a good map of the area so I resorted to walking back along the road. I’ve ordered the OS 239 so that should help.
Any more suggestions about exploring the area would be helpful. Thanks to you I now know what the birds soaring high in the sky were. Binoculars are now on my ‘wish list’.

Untitled CommentI'll take your word that you did not type up the 830M and tape it to the Garmin device.

Those devices are not 100% accurate but that may have just been a fluke...?
