"The Big One" looming over...

"The Big One" looming over everything else in the last sunlight of a December evening. Photo shot from a little 5600m peak in the western part of the Tingri Valley.

Re: I stand in awe

Thanks!

It was a strange evening.

I sat watching Everest disapear in the constantly darker blue tones of the night.

Re: Woow

Thanks.
I will re-scan the photo one day, as it's not so sharp. Have bought a better scanner since I scanned this photo :-)

Savage!

Class photo. It's a bit deceptive though, seems as if its just everest and no other mountains around it. Where are they?! unless they've mined them away for apartments and a mcdonalds or something! great shot though!

wow!

Ive always seen pictures of everest from glaciers and stuff but never from far away. I think it's weird how I can't see any surrounding mountains (lohtse, makalu etc.. )

Re: wow!

It's the reason I posted this photo - it's different. I have loads of the "normal" Everest photos, but there are already so many of them around.
