The "knife edge" | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Mark Straub leading the last few feet up the famous knife edge ridge to the summit of Eldorado Peak. Exposure on the final ridge is greatly reduced in the winter and spring by added fresh snow. During the summer when the layers melt off, this ridge becomes very sharp and a true "knife-edge". Photographed March 6, 2010. Comments[ Post a Comment ] | lcarreau | Nice ... | |

anticipated them to be ???

Hasn't voted | Thank you! Actually the snow levels were exactly what we were hoping for. We planned this trip with the idea that the final ridge would be less exposed than normal and therfor on the safer side. I think my wording in the caption was confusing so I changed it. | | Posted Mar 22, 2010 3:26 pm |

Hasn't voted | It was a lot of fun if not a little bit on the exhausting side. I'd do it again though, probably in a couple years. | | Posted Mar 22, 2010 3:27 pm |
