The Nuns Stand Before Munds

The Nuns Stand Before Munds

Telephoto from Cathedral Rock, looking east through low-angle sunlight at Munds Mountain and The Praying Nuns. At the moment I took the picture, the sun was partially filtered by clouds behind me, and was illuminating the western escarpment of Munds Mountain. The Nuns (dual spires in the foreground) were cast in silent admiration and shadows; as (perhaps) very fitting they should be. September 16, 2009

Re: absolutely gorgeous

Thanks! : ))

The "nun" on the right is affectionately
referred to as "Streaker Spire."

She's getting rather old, but she's a good nun.
