The Schaufelspitze (in the forground) seen from the Stubaier Wildspitze (July 2003). In the background in the very left the Wilder Freiger, then the Wilder Pfaff; the pyramid is the Zuckerhütl (the highest mountain of the Stubai mountain range) and the Pfaffenschneide. Between Schaufelspitze and Zuckerhütl is the Aperer Pfaff (3351 m).
The ascent to the Schaufelspitze goes along the slope on the right side of the summit.
