Re: That's great !Yes. Although we wore wet suits during the Das Boot section because it's cold in there summer or winter, but the Subway, although the water is chilly, is fine without wetsuits in the summer. I have done some 'ups' but just easy stuff and following a real climber.

Kolob Canyon ROCKS !I don't see a problem. Seems that
you can take a VAST number of pictures,
in your neck of the woods. Remember,
you can EDIT the photos, later. The
days will be getting LONGER after
next month, so that's an added PLUS.
Also, be careful of flash-floods.
Utah has a lot of them, primarily
during Summer. Take care, Tanya.

Re: Kolob Canyon ROCKS !I know flash floods. Our trip through Kolob was crazy... we went in with a high volume of water. First in for the season. Then half way through the thunder started, then the rain. The water was rising and comming in from the side canyons. We were rushing. We jumped (well I tried to downclimb and fell, since I hate to jump!) one rappel to save time near the end. We were almost to the exit, a long long scramble up and dirt wall and around the corner came a cat! We looked at it and it looked at us. My partner started to yell and through rocks and it ran. I wondered all the way up that LONG exit if the kitty would want to leave the filling canyon the same way we were - the only exit other than the Narrows in Zion Canyon far far away.
Is there a way to load photos other than putting them on your profile?

Love your comments ...First, at the very top of the image
page - left hand corner ... it says
Create Page
you just click on that, because you
are creating a whole page. NEXT,
mark the box where it says "image."
This will direct you to the GOOGLE
MAP, where you enter Lat/Long, give
your photo a caption, and actually
RETRIEVE your PHOTO from the folder
where it's located. For example,
it might be inside a HOME folder.
You must CLICK on the specific FOLDER
where its at. Then, you can click on
the SUBMIT OBJECT box at the bottom of
the page. Sometimes, it can take up to
three minutes to PRODUCE the image.
But, you have to EDIT any photo, before
you click on SUBMIT OBJECT.
You can also follow this same procedure,
when putting a TRIP REPORT or ALBUM
together. It depends on which box you
select. Good luck, and hope it all
works out. PATIENCE is the key.
Just like the cat you saw; was probably
accustomed to FLASH-FLOODING episodes,
and was probably CURIOUS just to see you.
Exploration is what its all about.

Do we reduce photos at all or just upload the whole thing. I just clicked on one and it was a full image. This site must have lots of memeory!

You can reduce ifyou want to. You can either CROP it,
or you can REDUCE by using a specific
html code. If you CLICK on "FAQ" at
the bottom of any page, you will FIND
different codes that will be very
helpful. You can even add a SECOND or
THIRD photo to your Profile Page.
SMILEY FACES ... whatever! I don't
know what the limitations are with
the MEMORY. You have to ask an elf.

An elf is ...a person that works on the Summitpost
site. They are kind of mysterious,
but will HELP you ... that is, if
they're not on a summit trip somewhere.
PLEASE keep in mind that this is
an INTERNATIONAL SITE.
You can e-mail an elf. Just go to your
IN-BOX! They are there to assist you.
