Route Description

If coming from the East, follow the directions on the main page. From the parking area, continue up the road until a fork is reached after a short distance. Turn left here, and continue a short distance. Before crossing a stream (Deep Creek), turn right and go uphill cross country. There may be some mining roads to follow, but in general, head uphill and northwest. Once the top of the hill is reached (marked as "5541" on the USGS 7.5' topo), look to the west. The high point should be fairly obvious; it's the one marked "6361" on the USGS map. Hike cross country for about a mile and a quarter and you're there.

The peak is also easily reachable from the Buttermilks area via the saddle to the west, or from the conservation camp area to the north via old mining roads, or from Tungsten Point via the many roads in the area.

Essential Gear

Sunscreen and water.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
