Turtlehead Peak as viewed from just above the "tunnel" in Tunnel Vision (5.7) on White Rock Mountain. March 30, 2002. The trailhead for Tunnel Vision is in the upper left corner of the photo. Follow the 4WD road shown and find the use-trails to the base of the climb.

There's some question as to whether the
rock that is pictured here (on White Rock Mtn)
is limestone or sandstone. What say you???

Personally, I always thought that sandstone had a more "reddish hue" to it, as in the Calico Dunes and Calico Basin pictured across the valley. Thanks, -Larry
