| Hiked via the Stanford Rock route up 15N3S and descended via the Tahoe Rim Trail. We found the Stanford Rock-Twin Peak loop to be 14 miles if doing both the Twin Peaks. Group of 7 reached the summit. 3 did both Twin Peaks. | |

| Tried going from Blackwood Canyon Road, but it was still gated shut and snowcovered. Drove over to Alpine Meadows (backside closed) and started there. Signs in the small lot warned of towing if not in the Alpine Residents HOA, luckily no issues. Went up via the saddle between Twin/Stanford. Down a more scenic/enjoyable route, along the ridge north from Twin to 8522 and down to the car. | |
