view northewst from Apikuni Mountain

The rugged peaks of the Lewis Range stretch out as far as the eye can see... On the left, the sheer, 2,000 foot east face of Crowfeet Mountain is shrouded in shadow. Behind is Mount Merritt's east face, blanketed by spectacular Old Sun Glacier. Following the ridge to the right, the next high point belongs to Natoas Peak. Mount Cleveland, Glacier NP's tallest mountain, is behind and to the right. Seward Mountain is the red triangular peak basking in the late afternoon's sunlight on the right side of the photo. Behind and to the right is the jagged summit of Gable Mountain. September 15, 2008
