Deseret PeakThanks for adding your photos for Deseret Peak.
The mountains in your photos that are located north of Deseret Peak are unnamed. They reach elevations of over 10,600 feet and are located HERE.
Vickory Mountain is located south of Deseret Peak and is where this PHOTO was taken from. The mountain is 10,330 feet in elevation and is located HERE.

Re: Deseret PeakOops! I was afraid I was mistaken about that; I should have consulted a better map. The one in the guidebook I used was horrible, did not label Vickory Mountain on it, and only mentioned it in the text, seeming to imply that it was whatever other prominent mountain one would see while looking around from Deseret Peak.
Thank you for the correction. I am sorry about this lapse, and will correct all my captions and titles.

Seems to be some confusion...Yes, it's true this peak, (located to the north of Deseret Peak), is not named on today's TOPO-MAPS. But, the map I had 25 years ago listed it as SOUTH WILLOW PEAK, which is immediately west of South Willow Lake. There's a glacier cirque located on the east face of South Willow Peak, directly above the lake. (This lake can be reached by hiking to the top of Mining Fork of South Willow Canyon!) In addition, the peak further to the north, (which is partially obscured by smoke in your photo), is NORTH WILLOW PEAK. Okay, hope I didn't ADD to the confusion. Take care, guys! Be careful in those thar hills!!! NICE PHOTO, SEAN !!!

Re: Seems to be some confusion...I remember a sign at a fork in the trail which indicated South Willow Lake as the destination of that fork. The lake would have been under these peaks, so the name you give makes sense to me.
