Saoû

Overview

Saoû is not as well known as cliffs that are located further south, such as Dentelles de Montmirail, Baronnies or Buoux,
however it offers in that area more than 600 routes with several pitches.
It is therefore less crowded and has a nice smell of Provence.

Getting There and Staying...

From Montélimar, drive NW on road D6 for 27 kms.
Then turn right on D538.
After 7 kms you will reach the small village of Saoû.

Site Description

In Drôme you will find lots of rocks to climb.
There is a good concentration around Saou with several specific areas.
All of it is Limestone.
You have to be careful on some parts, as it might less solid than it seems.
Wearing is therefore highly recommended.
