The final class 5 pitch to reach the summit of White Butte. The idea is to take the wide gully at right (watch for falling cowpies in the loose gully) until it ends at a headwall. A 5.7 layback for twenty feet then a tough mantle gains the flat summit. Photo taken mid-July 2003.
