What an amazing photo Jim!!
I have seen several owls on my hikes last year, but they all flew away from me in panic.

Thanks, Anya. The Fossil Creek Reservoir Regional Open Space was created as a wildlife sanctuary, primarily for birds. Over 200 species of birds have been documented in the area by the Audubon Society.

I've seen a few owls at dusk but never this close, or with this much light! What a great moment to capture on film.
