Jan sitting on the edge of the Bergschrund of the Brunegghorn north face

A few hours earlier the same day, on our approach, we saw the rising sun lighting up the face. The bergschrund looked tiny then, but we knew that the distance would be deceiving. Obviously, it's much bigger up close, but fortunately there is a real easy way across, just to the right of where Jan is sitting.
