Can anyone identify this grape-like fruit?

I have serious doubt...

these are actual fruits. They look like some variety of succulents. Succulents retain large amounts of water and are well-suited for arid areas.

Re: I have serious doubt...

I don't think they're fruits either, but I don't think they're full of water. Some of them have holes in them and are partially collapsed; almost none of them look especially turgid.
It's hard to be certain, but I think the swollen nodules are part of the same plant as the tiny leaves and the white flowers. In fact, if you look closely, one of the leaves is partially swollen.
Succulent leaves don't go through quite as dramatic a shape change, and they don't do it in the same pattern (uppermost leaves spheroid while lower leaves are unchanged).
I think these are leaf galls.
