Wild Mustang near North Canyon

Wild Mustang near North Canyon

One of nine wild horses that we saw grazing near the mouth of North Canyon on route to McFarland Peak. A lot of the wild horses have been relocated, but we were happy that there were still some left. One of them was very young. Enjoy my slideshow of the whole hike: McFarland Peak via North Canyon on July 1, 2007 Spring Mountains, Nevada.

Re: Beautiful horse

Thank you. No, there were 2 more mustangs nearby, 5 mares and one young colt. They all looked very healthy.

Re: Beautiful horse

Do you have more photos of them ? It can be interesting to see wild horses. I've never seen any of them.

Re: Beautiful horse

You've got to come to Nevada to see them ;)

There is a nice album on SP called Horses. A lot of horses featured in it are wild. Check it out sometime.
