Wild Tom Turkeys

These big upland birds habitat the lower slopes of the mountainous region of the Okanogan Highlands. I cam across these in the Kettle River Valley this morning. There must be a whiff of spring in the air for the males (toms) were gobbling and strutting.

Glad you might be smelling the effects of Spring ... turkeys remind me of politicians, but I won't go there. Thanks for posting!

Love having a good winter in the northern mountains with spring in the valleys. As far as turkeys and politicians ~ turkeys are totally honest...
