Wild Turkeys

Wild Turkeys

I thought that this photo is so appropriate before Thanksgiving :) The Wild Turkey (Meleagris Gallopavo) is native to North America and is the heaviest member of the Galliformes. It is the same species as the domestic turkey, which was domesticated from the South Mexican subspecies. Benjamin Franklin preferred the Turkey as the national bird of the United States. He wrote to his daughter that a Turkey would have made a better alternative compared to the Bald Eagle.

Gobble gobble..

Dig that crazy beat,
Time for turkey's meat.
Please pass the Pumpkin pie,
Continue eating, life's too short..

And then you die.

Re: Gobble gobble..

oh no...

I do not like to eat meat,
I think life is too sweet,
whether turkey or hen,
we should all be vegetarian!
