Wolf in the Bieszczady's wilderness

Wolf in the Bieszczady's wilderness

Encountering with the wolf has always been my "BIG" goal when roaming in the Carpathian wilderness. The Carpathian population of wolves is estimeted to be 3 - 4 thousands individuals. Bieszczady Mountains are the area with the highest density of wolves in Europe. One spring day at 6 a.m. my long lasting dream had come true.....This most memorable moment of my wildlife experience was recorded and after this extremely rare event I fell down and a lot of tears were on my face. So here is the most beautiful dog I have ever seen...

Re: :-)

In Bieszczady it is possible to encounter full scale of European mammals including European bison and elk. I was there twice and I know the place, which is the best location for the wildlife observation - maybe even better than famous Kosy Most in Bialowieza...
