A stroll along a colorful ridge at the east end of Clear Lake Ca.
It gets really hot around here in the summer and very dry. The coastal fog never reaches up into this area. Napa Valley is usually the end of the line. On the north side of the valley the impressive ramparts of the Palisades and Mt. St. Helena block further approach into the higher country. Down by the lake it's 90's to 100'. So I waited for the heat to mellow then drove down to the east shore as sunset was bringing out the colors.
