just like a painting of the romantic school!
Thanks Dow, your observation best describes the view and the atmosphere at this spot...
for a mountain climber.
for a mountain climber!...a hiker, artist, philosopher, healer...
I hope when I am old and retired I can live in a place like this!
Thanks for your nice comment, Dan!
I wish you find your ideal retire home, long before you retire...
Thanks cordially for your gorgeous shots, dear Emil, showing my beautiful country worldwide. Your photos are really charming!
Ejnar already said what I thought when I first saw the image: Looks just like a painting. Gorgeous! --mark d.
At first glance it appears to be an oil painting. What camera, film, exposure? Are you using a warming filter?
Thank you for this photo Emil! It looks like my home in my dreams...
This shot makes me want to move...Great work.
Sincerely, this is a visual clue to my concept of heaven. If I were to create a world, it would look something like this.
Do you mind if I play photo geek and ask what equipment you used to score that shot?
Thank you very much for your nice comment.
I have responded to some of the earlier comments via private message, therefore you could not see my reply to an earlier camera related question. In 2005 I used a Panasonic DMC-FZ1 camera, and have been postponing purchasing a more serious one for the past few years...
Also, many thanks to all the voters, without whom I could not have reached this honorable level with my otherwise average photograph.
I believe it was mainly the photo's atmosphere, that touched so many hearts: most of us nature and mountain lovers dream of living in this type of idyllic environment...
And last, but not least: hats off to all past POW winners, and this week's top contributor: "2 climbaxes", whose marvelous shots, one by one deserve top honors in a variety of categories...
This is such a sweet photo! Makes me want to move right on in.
Thanks Deb! At this place even a long weekend would do good to your soul...
