Joyous Moment in the Mountains

Taken during Night time of January 21, 2008 along the Mountain Loop Highway, using a self timer as well as 20 second shutter speed. Behind me is Hall Peak which was illuminated from the incredible moon light which for me this was a special moment in my mountaineering experience. The Day of travel had quite a few gorgeous moments, but the moon light with the glowing mountains towering above filled me with a strange excitement. I wanted to stay for a while longer... I had no idea!

I've always thought this was an interesting image but I had no idea it was a night time shot. Now it makes sense. Very creative.

Thanks Adam! I captured this image because it was a powerful moment for me in the mountains, I needed some how to portray my excitement of how much I was enjoying the wonders that were displayed all around me. So beautiful, yet so rarely seen like this.
