An awesome, 16-mile hike to start the summer. Hiked to the summit but also to some waterfalls on the other side of the mountain. Well worth it!
This was our first high point before we knew we were highpointers not sure of the exact date it was in October of 2011 we used e thunder bolt trail great trail not hard at all this trail leads you to the AT it was so cool to walk a little of the AT to the summit of graylock the tower was also cool with great views we had a good day and great lunch at the top in the lodge
A backwards summit, of sorts. Not sure what the weather was going to do - looked foggy and rainy so I drove to the top. The weather cleared up so I then hiked down the AT to Notch Road/Wilbur's clearing and then back up to the War Memorial. Looks to be about 6+ miles round trip.
Drove to the top. The last of the 6 New England State HPs on my solo roadtrip.
I drove up with my girlfriend on the way to Vermont. The view was beautiful! The summit tower is closed through the 2016 season for renovations. Otherwise, we had a great time.
A warm day for skiing! We skinned up, hung out at the summit to eat and drink then skied down on soft mushy snow. Coverage was good though.
This tour was with Nate and Dana.
Had a solo dance party at the top!
Stoney Ledge - Summit
Hiked up the Hopper, overnighted at the campsite and headed up the AT pre-dawn for sunrise on the summit!
Ran it on the first day of a 6 day trail run from Vermont to NT on the AT. Been up Greylock numerous times from many directions, but this one kicked my butt while running up it! I was hurting when I woke up the next day to continue on my way south.
Nice hike on a cool misty day, 12.5 miles, 3796' of gain, RT.
Cloudy day. Nice hike up the Cheshire Harbor Trail.
Totally a night hike, although I did drive somewhat up a ways.
VERY COLD, GOOD HIKE. TENT, TEMPS DROPED TO -3
Nice mountain on a beautiful day but really crowded at the top. I was surprised at all the day trippers and families at the summit parking lot. Took a few pics and skedadled.
Part of a couple day 26 mile stint on the AT. beautiful views
Had a nice afternoon hike after knocking out Frissell in the morning. Met a couple highpointers at the top. Was all in all a great day.
Not too warm, not too windy, pretty much perfect hike in fresh snow. Cool ice formations on the pine needles near the top. State hp#21 for me
Nice hike, most of which was on the App Trail. The monument on top was the largest and most extravagant i've seen yet. Massachusetts must be very proud of Greylock. State HP #10 for me.
