Hey Lee,

Thanks for your comments Lee, and nope, I had missed the new pix. Compelling indeed, and an interesting route. I take it you were up there last weekend. I was north of you trying to get into Clark Mountain for a one-day deal, but there were way too many obstacles on the trail going in, so there just wasn't going to be enough time. We'll be going back later to try again. If you're not familiar with Clark, it's 8576', SE of Glacier Peak, the highest in the Dakobed Range. Great area!

Hope to see lots more from your exploits this summer!!

You might be smokin' something, but you're still right! :-) You can see the Dakobed Range from all over, and it's very visible from the entire region east of GP. There are several peaks screaming to be climbed in that general area - Buck, Clark, Luahna, Chalangin, Napeequa, Fortress, Chiwawa, and Fernow, to name the best (having already done Maude and 7FJ). And you would like Tenpeak I'm sure. My uncle used to talk about what he called the Tenpeak Traverse, but to be honest I don't know if he ever did it. I'll have to ask him while he's still cogent - just turned 90! I think his idea was the same as Beckey talked about - a high route from Tenpeak to Boulder Creek that in the original edition he didn't think had been done. Then there's the Buck Creek to White River traverse which goes over High Pass, down across the Napeequa, then up over the Dakobed on one of the glaciers, then down one of the creeks to White River. I'd need to study that one a bit. :-)

I shoulda replied to your other stuff. As for Daniel, I might be able to interest Duane in that one. If you want company, let me know when you're going. Which route are you contemplating? You can have Goode, but I can't wait to see your pix! :-))

Outstanding page!!! I think it is efforts like this that sets summitpost.com apart from other websites. The members here make such amazing contributions of their time and this page exemplifies this. Thank you.

Awesome page... I really enjoyed this peak... and would've loved it more if the weather hadn't turned us back before we could summit.

Great page. My brother in law and I plan to attempt the north ridge next summer. Hopefully I can add some pics for you. We will use some info from your page for our approach.

Solid page. It might be nice to add Mt. Stuart to the Enchantments group.

Radek,

Thanks, Bob Bolton just transfered the page to me on Friday. I am working on totally revamping it. Haven't posted any changes yet, been doing them in Word.

I hope your climb went well, and yes I agree it is a fantastic big old hunk of granite!

Uggh. Sergio and Eric cancelled on me, saying they had their doubts if the ice pitches at the base were in condition. It sucked big time. They went off and did something else, I was pissed!!!

Ended up going to Darrington and got in another great climb on Saturday, as a consolidation. Was feeling lazy, and didn't go to Index on Sunday. :-)

Nice photos!

Needs Work

Nice photos, but a mountain of this importance deserves a lot more in terms of route descriptions and other background information.
