They keep my legs dry
These over trousers are a good all purpose set of waterproofs. Thy're light, compress to a small size and are waterproof and breathable. The also have large ankles that can take even the chunckiest of boots so you don't struggle when trying to put them on in a hurry. The velcro ancles seem a little pointless as if its really tipping it down or really snowy I wear gaiters, but I guess they might be useful at someday. I am quite short and slim which means many trousers I have triedhave waists that are too wide, but these are great with the shock cord allowing me to adjust them to my size fitting me very snugly indeed.
