Hiking Boots

~ I am on my second pair of these boots, so I had to give praise to the comfort and reliability that I have experienced over the last 4 years or so. The first design you will notice is the aggressive, slightly down-hill walking gate that comes with this design. Although they are not the lightest, or least bulky hiking boots out there, I have found this cushion and protection has been amazingly rewarding on long days, challenging hikes, with varied terrain. My feet simply never hurt or have hot spots, and no prior heel or hot spot preventative measures are ever needed.

The Gore-Tex protection is substantial, even in wet snow. This is an above-the-ankle boot with lots of padding. This is great for rocky terrain traveling, scrambling, etc. I have not had any breakdown in design or functionality in any way. The only thing causing me to get a new pair was the normal wearing down of the sole. The only slight drawback to the boot that I have noticed is the lacing at the top of the boot does tend to loosen and come undone ever so often. This is most likely due, though, to my tendencies to keep that area of my boot comfortable for ankle flexion, etc.

Highly recommend
I know there are a ton of options out there, but if you are looking for the right fit, protection, comfort and durability, the price is well worth what you get when you are out in the mountains.
