Product Description

From the Sierra Design website:

Outside gave the Trade Wind its "Gear of the Year" award in 2006 because it does it all—Drizone protects 800-fill goose down from moisture, while tuck stitching keeps seams away from water and potential abrasion. On the nastiest, coldest night you can imagine, jump on in and cinch down the ergonomic hood, seal 'er up, and sleep comfortably with an ergo foot box and cozy Pad Locks. The Trade Wind goes high alpine in the summer, ski touring in the winter, and laughs off the harshest weather you can find.

Features

800 fill goose down insulation is long lasting, extremely lightweight and compressible, and provides a higher warmth-to-weight ratio than synthetics.

DriZone Waterproof/Breathable fabric.

Continuous baffle construction keeps down from shifting and increases ability of down to stick to baffle material for no cold spots.

Tuck stitch construction without an exposed seam to prevent snags and reduce wear and tear. All seams are tucked and sewn from the inside.

Ergonomic hood.

Draft tube.

Ergonomic foot box.

Snag-free zipper tracks prevents stuck zippers by creating a barrier between the lining and the zipper track.

Pad locks attach bag to sleeping pad to prevent slide off.

Left zip only.

Great For...
This bag is great for a lot of summer mountaineering climbs in the states. The waterproof coating is a really nice touch. Warmth and compressibility are great. Older models don't have the draft collar, which has since been added. Even without the draft collar, this bag is plenty warm and I would recommend using this bag all the way down to 0-5°F.
