This very fine woven fleece is very soft indeed. So you're a big tough mountain type - but go on, admit it, a little comfort, even luxury is welcome. This stuff feels great against the skin.
There's other bonuses to this fabric too. It seems to be great at transferring moisture, so when you have it pulled up over your face it doesn't ice up like some other fabrics.
I have had mine for the last eight years. It is made of the softest fleece that I have come across--warm and snuggley. It proved its worth for me on the frozen lakes of Minnesota. Far more practical that a scarf! Keeps your neck and lower face warm.
This thing is a great way to compensate for not liking a balaclava. It is super soft and cozy. It wicks sweat and moisture very well. The thing I have noticed lately is that it's shape does stretch out a little bit after several days consecutive use. After washing it resumes it's original shape.
