Thoughts...

I recently purchased this bag to finalize my "ultralight" winter gear. My wife had an older Montbell bag, and I've bee consistently warm AND comfortable in that bag multiple times.

The reason I chose the Montbell bag over the Marmots, Western Mountaineering, etc. bags is due to a couple of reasons. 1. The "superstretch" system, for me, is ideal. I'm 5'9" tall with a slim to medium build. I find a lot of times most seeping bags that I will use will have a lot of empty space my body has to heat, instead of heating me. Also, this bag comes in a 5'10" size (the regular), so my 5' 9" frame fits perfectly, as opposed to other manufacturer's who use a 6' "regular" bag, where I end up with all this extra room around your feet. This also means the bag is lighter than most others too.

The other main reasons are the features this bag offers, while still only weighing in at 2lb 10oz. Full Zipper, the ability to fold the bottom of the bag inward witha drawstring, full neck baffle, and a zipper baffle guarentee warmth. All these features are normally limited on ultralight bags.

The reason for this is the ability to use less fill (725 vs. 800 or 900) because of the superstretch system. In essence, the elastics create small pockets of air that keep your body warm, instead of just heating the entire length of your body. This creates a warmer bag with less fill.

If you haven't tried a Montbell bag, I encourage you to try one. I have been very pleased with their products. Keep in mind your height, however, if you are over 5'10" tall, you will need their "long" bag.

Great for restless sleeper
The stretch feature is perfect for restless sleepers and for people who have bigger shoulders or hips. The bag does not feel constrictive and yet there is no dead air space so it is warm to its rating. Lightweight for its rating. Only downside is be careful with the ultralight material.

Great Bag
I have panic issues in most mummy bags so I thought I'd try one of these in a summer weight. I liked it so much, I've got three of them now - best bags I've owned. These are perfect for side sleepers that like to stretch out.

Take care of it and you have a great bag
As long as you don't trash it this is a great, warm, light bag that is very comfortable to sleep in. I recommend it.
