Opinion of Bag
A very good bag. A 15 degree bag. I love the zippers. The locking feature and the guards are fantastic. I think it is a great spring and early fall bag. I wouldn't recommend it on a winter expedition.

Even when wet
I spent a week on Mt. Baker in May with this bag. While it got wet, as everything else in the tent did, it was still warm enough and comfortable enough to be happy with the bag. While I was on Baker I was borrowing the sleeping bag. I liked it enough to go out and buy another one.

Excellent all-around bag
Classic three season bag for backcountry adventures in the Pacific Northwest. Excellent loft with no hot/cold spots. Came with a stuff sack, but I store it in the large cotton bag supplied to retain its loft. Great buy.

Great dry weather bag
I love my Sawtooth! This is an excellent bag for 3 season backpacking/camping. It lofts well, breathes well and it is truly a 15 degree bag - I wouldn't hesitate to rely on this bag to keep me warm in single digit temps if I had a warm hat and warm clothes. I really like being able to unzip the zipper from the bottom to let my feet cool off. With some bags this isn't possible. The hood is an excellent design. I'm 5'11", 185lbs and the regular fits me perfectly. It doesn't take much to get the down wet as this bag has no DWR treatment. I sewed a siliconized nylon bivy sack for it and that works OK for keeping off dew and tent condensation. Another very nice feature is the ability to "shake" the down more toward the top (to stay warmer) or to the bottom (to stay cooler).

No problem when damp
the bag is water resistant enough that small amounts of water will not compromise the temp rating
